Rugging a twitter friend online in dubai
1️⃣ quick introduction about yourself
@stakedqueen
Digital nomad with a passion for DeFi and a PhD in Immunology that I’m selling for 1 ETH if anyone’s interested.
2️⃣ Why did you fall into the crypto rabbit hole n started digital nomad life?
▶️ Re: Crypto rabbit hole
Bought coin because of tech. Coin 10x.
Bought more stuff. Not much happening at the time - Staking was a novelty - then everything was happening!
Too hard to research both cancer diagnostics and ponzis.
I chose the one more likely to impact humanity.
(lol from lambro)
Jokes aside, scientific progress is often hindered by how hard it is to direct funding effectively (competition, politics, corruption, incompetency).
DeFi can fix.
Happy to direct my efforts here instead.
▶️ Re: Digital nomad
On a separate plane, SE Asia had been calling out for me but ticket got cancelled due to Covid.
Now Thailand opened its gates and I didn’t want to risk another missed opportunity.
So I left with the intention of travelling for 6 months. It’s been almost 2 years. Looking forward to the next 2.
3️⃣ Whats a regular life style as a nomad?
Wake up, thank the universe for this amazing life, exercise,
Thank the universe for this amazing life, write, trade or explore - depending on the day,
Thank the universe for this amazing life.
4️⃣ What are your favourite part of being a nomad?
No clutter! Can’t carry all the stuff you don’t need. You’d be surprised how much money you save.
( lambro the cheap asian is interested )
No vacum cleaning! Ever! Or other housekeeping activities.
No addictions! Because you spend so little time in each place, it’s hard to fall into a routine and get hooked on numbing behaviours.
Feeling alive - frequent changes in scenery means that you’re always present.
5️⃣ Top 3 things you hate about being a nomad?
Hate is a strong word, but 3 drawbacks are:
I don’t get to see my parents and some of my friends that often (though when I do it’s epic and memorable because of this)
I don’t have high heels or fancy dresses because they’re impractical to carry.
If you see a girl in jeans and flip flops in high end venues it’s probably me pls have sympathy.
I’m freaking tired of having to take out my laptop and my liquids, belt & my shoes in airports.
6️⃣ Best crypto story or nomad story?
I started my nomad journey with a layover in Dubai.
A crypto twitter “fren” offered to host me. I didn’t know his name, didn’t know what he looked like, but we had helped each other get WLed for a ponzi so that’s enough, right?
Touched down and he asked “are you here?”& I thought it would be funny to txt back “RUGGED”
He panicked. It was his first such encounter as well
A few “Jk jk jk” later, we met
He turned out to be one of the most incredible ppl, had a wonderful few days & we’re frens to this day
7️⃣ Any advise for people looking into going into this life style?
It’s MUCH easier than it sounds.
If you have a calling for it, it’s really easy and you’ll be impressed by how kind and welcoming most people are.
The world is truly a wonderful place.
