@eren_beefy unfiltered crypto joureny sharing as a dev
1️⃣ short introduction
Front end developer working full time on beefy for almost 2 years
Always looking on how can improve my skills and ship good products
2️⃣ How did u fall into the crypto rabbit hole & end up in beefy
When I was in a programming course in 2019, I made friends who hv been in space very early and I slowly started reading about crypto & trying to learn how it works attending differents meetups and asking my frens.
After 2 years i learned how to code and one of my friends was actively contributing on beefy and he said they needed a front end
i left my 9-5 job to join crypto and beefy full time
3️⃣ Can u share some quick tldr of what is beefy & future plans for it
Beefy build on top of DEXes , beefy sell your rewards tokens & autocompound those in your lp
We don’t have any roadmap and as always the plans is continue delivering features/improving our services to made this easy and SAFU for newbies and og’s users
4️⃣ Can u share what is it like building/working in beefy? any special stories to share?
Yes. One of the interesting things i like to work on beefy is we are the most transparent possible on all our actions, if you don’t believe me u can check in our discord or github
Core and Community contributors are really smart and interesting people where all the things are possible when u work with people like this.
Guess the most special stories for me was start working here , since no one was leading the front end & i started as a lil baby learning every day and forcing myself to build
After few months of hard work with the team we were able to finally release the beast to everyone
5️⃣ what is ur most rekt crypto experience?
I was saving money to buy my first car and what better than try to snipe a shitcoin
Found one that was trending on dexscreener. Checked the code and do the test of buy 1 token and sell 1 to don’t fall in a honey pot
Test was good but i missed something in the code.
i invested $500 at first, those 500 were 1k by the end of the day, went to sleep & decided to invest $1500 more, those $2k transformed on $6k quickly
I didn't notice it was a honey pot until i tried to cash out
not a lof of money but i learned the lesson by the bad way
6️⃣ Advise on people looking to work in crypto full time?
If u want to do this every day
the right way is to do something that u passion and u really enjoy it
if your are here only for the money probably u’ll get rekt in the first try
To start contributing is easy as start joining to the discord of your favourite protocol, start asking for little tasks and be proactive on the community.
If your choice is to build your own product the first thing u need is being loyal to your community, and pls don’t think u are the best coder in the city so always double check your code and audits all the possible things.
7️⃣ Any special alpha for the community?
Good things are coming now we are going to redeploy $BIFI after multichain drama.
So the only i can say is stay stuned to our twitter and join our discord if u are not already in
8️⃣ What do u think is required to make it in crypto?
The first thing is patience
Always research and get a minimum idea on where are u putting money read about the protocol, devs and the community
don't put all your eggs in one basket and try to diversify the most u can
Some good advice i got was “when u are here trying to time the market someone is winning the lottery in some part of the world ” so create a solid strategy and be patience
And ofc try to avoid leverage.
Thanks again for Eren’s time!
